Family involvement can be in important factor in successful reentry. Family visits can help repair relationships damaged because of previous criminal behavior and subsequent incarceration as well as giving residents an opportunity to test newly acquired skills. Resident’s counselors will meet with families when appropriate to help them with the reentry process. “Together Building a New Way of Life,” Firetree’s mission statement, reflects the importance of a team approach when a resident is preparing for his/her new life.
