What happens when I first arrive?

Upon your arrival, you will:

  • Meet with the monitor on duty
  • He/She will review your current information
  • Be assigned a room and given linens
  • Be provided with the rules and regulations of the facility
  • Be given a schedule to orient you to our facility

Once you are settled you will:

  • Meet with your counselor and parole officer to review your information
  • Meet with a nurse to have a health evaluation on any medical condition, dietary need or prescriptions you may need
  • Be provided with information on work expectations and requirements
  • Will participate in individual and group therapy sessions and programs such as Breaking Barriers and life skills training

Please note that all residents will have a mandatory blackout period of 7 days which includes no telephone calls or visits from family and friends.

Having an idea of what to expect when you arrive a community reentry center can help the experience to be a positive one.  Simply knowing what to bring will make things easier.
