Assessments

Level of Care

Recovery starts by determining the most appropriate level of care. A full assessment is the best way to decide where to start; Detox? Inpatient? Outpatient? Also important is funding. Funding sources, whether they be private insurance, drug & alcohol single county authorities (SCAs) or managed care/healthchoices providers require assessments for treatment (with the exception of emergency detox).

Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

Court ordered to have a DUI assessment? Maybe you have a problem, maybe you don’t; finding out, either way, will help. We’ll do a thorough assessment that will help get you on the right track and meet the courts requirements. We assist with the Act 122 requirements and we have a contract with the juvenile justice system to provide assessment for underage drinking charges. We also participate in drug court, DUI Court and hopefully the new adolescent courts and the mental health courts.

Professional Licensing Requirements

Often those obtaining or renewing a professional license, nursing for example, will be required to have an assessment We can do the assessment and, if indicated, provide the treatment needed.

Genesis House also participates with the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, Professional Health Monitoring Program (PHMP) and a variety of EAP Programs. We have licensed and certified staff available to meet all licensing requirements. We also do assessment s for DPW, Disability benefits, and OVR.
