Clients referred / accepted into the program are male
and female adults who are currently experiencing acute physical or
psychological distress associated with the withdraw from drug and
alcohol use, abuse, or dependency. Individuals admitted into the
detoxification activity will display symptoms that are severe enough to
require 24 hour structured support; however, the full resources of an
acute care general hospital or medically managed intensive treatment
system are not necessary. Admitted individuals will meet the criteria of
the PCPC - Level 3A Medically Monitored Inpatient Detoxification or the
ASAM Level III-D Residential Detoxification. Referrals are accepted
through Single County Authorities, Managed Care Organizations.
