Addiction

“Compulsive behavior with short term benefits and long term destruction.” Most often when people hear addiction they think of drugs; alcohol is also a drug. There are many kinds of addictions but few are as damaging as drug/alcohol addiction. Do you think you might have a problem? If alcohol or drugs are causing problems in your life, there is a good chance that you have a problem with alcohol or drugs! Self assessment test

Recovery

Individuals who have participated and completed treatment programs are considered to be "in recovery." Recovery is recognized as "…an ongoing process of improvement--biologically, psychologically, socially and spiritually--while attempting to maintain abstinence from alcohol and other drugs." (Strawn, Julie, WIN, "Substance Abuse Welfare Reform Policy," Issue Notes, Vol. 1, No. 1, 1/7/97. p.3)

How can I, or someone I know, get help?

Before you can be placed in treatment, an assessment needs to be done. Who does the assessment can depend on how you will be paying: self-pay, insurance or public funding. Sound confusing? It doesn’t have to be. Call us and will help you work through the steps you’ll need to take to receive treatment. More...

How can I pay for treatment?

There are a number of funding sources available. We have agreements with county agencies, managed care organizations (HealthChoices) as well as medical assistance. Our staff will work with you to explore eligibility options. Link to list of managed care and sca contracts?

“Self pay” is also an option. We work hard to keep our costs down; we want to make treatment available to those who have no or limited insurance and are not eligible for public funding to receive treatment. More info/rates...
