What happens when I first arrive?

Upon your arrival, you will:

  • Meet with the appropriate staff and review your current information be provided with the policies and procedures of the facility
  • Be given a schedule to orient you to our facility
  • Be assigned to a room and given a place to put your personal items

Once you are settled you will:

  • meet with your counselor to review your information.
  • work with your counselor to develop a treatment plan that is specific to your needs
  • meet with a nurse to have a health evaluation; medical conditions, dietary needs or prescriptions will be reviewed
  • participate in individual and group therapy sessions and programs such as Breaking Barriers, the Franklin Model and life skills training.

Please note that all residents will have a mandatory blackout period of 7 days which includes no telephone calls or visits from  friends and family.  This is a period of evaluation and reflection that is a key component in recovery.
